xr/panoconnect — Turn 360° Panoramas into a Linked Tour

xr/panoconnect — Turn 360° Panoramas into a Linked Tour

xr/panoconnect takes the 360° photos of one place, finds where each panorama was taken, links the views that see each other, and builds the tour, with an optional 3D dollhouse. Review the map, then publish. No code.

What is xr/panoconnect?

xr/panoconnect turns the 360° photos of one place into a linked tour. Drop the panoramas, Cyango finds where each one was taken, links the views that see each other, and you review the result on a map before publishing.

What files can I use?

Equirectangular JPEG or PNG photos, and fixed 360° MP4 videos. You can drop files from your computer or pick panoramas already in your library.

Where does the matching run?

The panoramas are uploaded to your Cyango workspace. A worker then measures where each one was taken and which views should link. The tour is ready to review when that job finishes.

Can I change the links?

Yes. The map shows the poses and the links. You can add or remove links before you publish, and again later from the xr/panoconnect home page.

Can it make a 3D model of the place?

Yes, when you turn on 3D dollhouse. Cyango builds a 3D model of the rooms from the panoramas. The tour opens on this model, and you click a marker to dive into that panorama. A button in each panorama takes you back to the model.

Can I edit a tour after I publish it?

Yes. Open the tour from the xr/panoconnect home page. You can change the map, the links and the look of the hotspots, then publish again. What you added in xr/studio stays.

What if I close the page while the job runs?

The job continues in your workspace. Open it again from the Jobs list on the xr/panoconnect home page.

What do I get at the end?

A Cyango story: a walkable 360° tour with hotspots between the panoramas. Open it in the player, or keep working on it in xr/studio.
